Programatic work for String Quartet that features extended string techniques including glissandos, harmonics, and indeterminate notation.
Two lovers are lost in Space after a mission failure as a result from spacecraft malfunction. The rest of the crew did not survive the ordeal. Their spacesuits will keep them alive for a while, but soon they will run out of oxygen and must say goodbye to each other. It is in these final moments that they will get to experience the journey of a lifetime, experiencing the complexity of the fabric of Time, traverse a Molecular Cloud and finally come to the somber realization that their journey is over as they float away into the endless Abyss.
